VOS® partook in the 10th Anniversary of the 2019 New Media Film Festival in Los Angeles, California by curating bracelets in the VIP bags for the judging panel comprised of executives from HBO, Emmy’s, Marvel, FOX and The WB. As the 1st major festival of it’s kind celebrating innovation, story, mediums & platforms in a world where technology is ever-evolving, it is a festival that highlights stories that satiate the soul of humans. Not just any stories, but stories worth telling. New Media Film Festival works hard to produce a festival that highlights and honors the hard working and uprising content creators in the New Media Industry. It is a unique festival that diligently works to find opportunities, including distribution for almost all of the submitted content, not just those programmed.
It all started in 2009 when the New Media Film Festival was announced as part of the United Nations Millennium Project as an annual event. Since then the festival brings together the work of established and emerging new media content creators and video artists from the USA as well as internationally. The goal of the New Media Film Festival is to bring the world the best in New Media – Honoring Stories Worth Telling of emerging and established video and new media artists throughout the world. To give the global community at large the chance to experience the latest in technology and innovative storytelling to help define the world of new media.
During the festival there were 123 New Media Films & Content launches from 23 countries across 6 continents including 47 world premieres, 9 U.S. premieres and 20 L.A. premieres. The 3-day festival consisted of the Red Carpet, Soiree, Live Music, Screenings, Panels, International Art Exhibit and an Awards Ceremony. In a world where technology is ever-evolving, it was heartwarming to learn of the stories that will soon satiate the souls of viewers in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Moldova, Poland, Scotland, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, Vanuatu Islands, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
